Writing the 'About Myself' section is the hardest part of any marriage biodata. You want to sound confident, but not arrogant. Honest, but not negative.

Here is a simple formula to follow:

  1. Start with a brief intro: "I am a [Your Profession] based in [Your City]..."
  2. Mention your personality: "My friends describe me as a [Positive Trait 1] and [Positive Trait 2] person..."
  3. Share your hobbies: "In my free time, I enjoy [Hobby 1] and [Hobby 2]..."
  4. State your values: "I value honesty and a good sense of humor..."

Samples for a Girl

1. The Working Professional

"I am a software engineer at a top IT firm in Mumbai. I am ambitious, independent, and love a good challenge. Outside of work, I am a trained classical dancer and love exploring new cafes on weekends. I am looking for a partner who is my equal, values open communication, and has a positive outlook on life."

2. The Family-Oriented

"I work as a school teacher, a job I find incredibly fulfilling. I am a family-oriented and caring person who values tradition. I love cooking for my family, reading, and spending quiet evenings at home. I am looking for a partner who is understanding, respectful of elders, and wants to build a home based on shared values."
